Foden Trucks Enthusiasts

I've decided since I've had such a long connection with Paccar that I would start to post some of the wonderful pics people send me and I have. Here's the first lot thanks to Shaun for this selection who used to work at Foden and now works for Cummins!
Last Ever Foden RIP!
My friend Dave sent me these
He loads tree trunks onto his lorry so his trucks are very strong!

Then There's The Truck Racing
Our lovely friend Ross Garrett or Roast Carrot as we call him ;o)
Then in Truck Marketing there's meeting the celebs
Nigel Hanwell at Volvo what a lovely guy! Picture is Phil Easton from Liverpool's Magic (anotherlovely guy) and Simon and Kate from Corrie
One of the Joys of Marketing is the Ad & The Photoshoot
This photo took hours and hours outside the War Museum in Manchester in the freezing cold, in the dark and with the wind and rain. It made for a good Ad though and it was fun helping! In Marketing there is never a dull mo!
Globetrucker Mongolia
This friend of ours Yves travels regularly to Mongolia with trucks loaded up with tons of school equipment to equip schools in the North of the country. 10,000km trip which takes three months to get there. Amazing what a difference some people make and what fantastic photo's ;o)
If you want to see more and follow him on his latest journey goto

I've got this thing about quarries
I know they're just big holes in the ground but I really love to go to them! Doveholes in Buxton is like being on the moon with a blue lake and swans on it, very surreal.
Bhutan Man
Well as you all know another string to our bow is Marketing! Yes Marketing and as a result of doing lots of Marketing for trucks I have lots of fascinating stories from all over the world! For Foden the last British Truck Manufacturer it is an end of an era...but for many like this little man in Bhutan with his ancient vehicle it is work as usual bless! Please note... the donkeys are faster than the broken down truck, he has a red flag...just like the olden days in Britain, the road condition, yes I think that's his winch and yes that is him driving!Erm well maybe not lol Anyway fascinating stuff ;o)
Movie Set
So staying on the "Truck Theme" Sandbach has over 150 years of truck building in it's history! ERF & Foden. These are pictures of the now decomissioned plant at Sandbach and I think it would be the perfect setting for a movie!! Bloggers could all star in it!! Anyway just thought I'd share a bit of British manufacturing history with you all...a sad tale
