to make way for production of DAF trucks who are now market leader. Alas the british truck lost out to it's Dutch sister Marque!

Indeed a sad day.
I still haven't got over the destruction of Leyland Motors!!!!

Very sad to see the end of truck building in Cheshire. I started at the Elworth works as an apprentice in 1966 until it's takeover. Still I am thankful for getting an excellent engineering training.
